This week I’ve focused my blog posts on the athleisure trend and ways that you can incorporate style, performance and comfort into your workout wardrobe. One aspect of this style that I wanted to share is the incredibly hip sneaker options that are out for Spring Summer 2015. Designers this year emphasized wearability and ease across their lines of platform sandals and flats, and now there sneaker options that are chic, comfortable and hip.
After many years of working for Calvin Klein and trotting around in heels across Manhattan, I am always excited to find ways that I can still be stylish while being comfortable. Now we have many designer – athletic footwear company collaborations, which I mentioned this week with my favorite adidas by Stella McCartney line. These collaborations give us access to luxury athletic shoes (and sometimes price tags to match). And once designers get in the sneaker game, you know that it’s a fashion statement.
In addition to fashion-forward designer sneaker options, don’t forget about the classics such as Stan Smiths and Converse. I’ve shown them paired with skinny jeans and a blazer or a stylish Lululemon jogger pant and après sport top. They can also be worn with shorts or little summer dresses to mix it up!
Here are some of my favorites. If you’d like some help with incorporating cool sneakers into your wardrobe, schedule some time with me to shop or even to work with you at home. Summer is a time for comfort as we travel, work or shuttle kids to camp!
