As I mentioned in my post on Monday, music festival fashion is not just for people headed straight to Coachella or SXSW. It used to be that concert-goers didn’t think much about fashion outside of comfort and being practical. But with the emergence of social media and so much of life being captured in images, music festival and summer concert fashion has become much more conscious. Coupled with the Boho trend, music festival fashion is a trend that looks great and is practical for women all summer long (minus the extremely short denim cut-offs that certainly aren’t for everyone).
Music festival fashion is easy, casual and comfortable. The silhouettes are flowing, with kimonos, tunics and maxi dresses and the shoes are comfortable for summer, with laced sandals and booties. Accessories, which I’ll talk more about on Friday, have lots and LOTS of fringe, and floppy hats and braided hair keep you cool.
Look for capsule collections dedicated to music festival fashion all summer long. Below are a few of my favorite looks. FreePeople is forever bohemian, with their bold patterns and relaxed silhouettes, and their bohemian slant lasts all year long.
