Spring is finally coming!
It’s time to put away your coats and slip into something far more seasonal. One of the best parts of spring is the way we get to accessorize. With fewer clothing items to layer, we can keep our look more classic and spice up our style with all of 2017’s most coveted accessories.
This spring’s accessory must haves are all about the handbag. There are so many styles to choose from that will instantly up your wardrobe game. This season, extremely oversized bags are very in and although they are not for everyone (…and probably not a trend I will be carrying around daily) they are a great way to up your travel wardrobe.
On the other hand, the micro minis are also in mode. I absolutely adore this style as they are really more of an adornment to your outfit. They work great for day or night so an excellent versatile item to have in your closet. Just make sure you’re using your Apple watch for communication as space is very limited.
The belt bag is another one of my favorites. It double duties to accessorize your outfit and gives you a hands and shoulder free style that is infinitely more comfortable.
The best everyday wear bag for the season would be the classic tote style with colorful and embellished straps. Almost all designers (from every price point) are making a contemporary twist on their classic bags this season with vibrant colors or appliqués to spice up your look.
Sunglasses are also getting a makeover with bold silhouettes that instantly light up your ensemble. If you live in a sunny place like most of us in Miami, this will be your most needed accessory for the next few months.
Shoe wise I still love the slips we’ve seen in past seasons. They are the perfect go-to look that are easy to slip on before you walk out the door and give your outfit a little bit more structure than a ballerina or sneaker.
For a night on the town chunky heels, ankle straps, and platforms are fair game. Almost everything goes this spring so have fun with your look! To really add some style and dramatic effect to your daytime outfits, pick a shoe you’d normally wear out with your go-to look for a fun color pop or appliqué touch making that classic style instantly chicer.
And to end things with a piece of advice, don’t forget your closet clean out before you start buying this season’s trends. An organized closet is just as important as the items you have in it!
