What accessories should you be wearing for Fall?
-The Coat: It’s considered in most places as part of the outfit, especially in New York, but in Miami unfortunately it is used more as an accessory just in case. Coats are always huge for fall but they are even more of a show stopper this season. Buy a new coat this year, no matter wear you live and embrace it! If you do live in Miami or the like weather wise, please get rid of the old coat in your closet that you have had for 10 or 15 years thinking that it’s still acceptable to wear when you travel to cold places. Enough said.
-Bags: All sizes, all colors go for fall. The biggest trend in the handbag market however is the small, boxier, structured bag. You can buy it in a beautiful jewel tone or animal print to really make any outfit, and you can carry it as small tote, clutch, or crossbody.
-Jewelry: The bigger the better this season. Since there were minimalist trends on the runway from some of the designers this year, a beautiful rhinestone necklace or earring can really make your demure outfit…not so demure. Pile on the necklaces and bracelets, using different stones, metals, even pearls. Almost nothing will be wrong as long as you keep it within the same point of view. These trends do not have break the bank either. Jcrew, Zara, Nordstrom, Banana Republic and many online retailers have great options.
-Shoes: As I said in my post last week, https://krpersonalstyle.com/?p=1795, the newest, albeit old, trend is the pointy toe pump. It is the most flattering with anything you wear. Although it’s necessary to have the standard black in your closet, if you own this already, go for one the new colors this season like red or cobalt blue. You will continue to see platforms, ankle straps and of course the favorite, shoe bootie.
