My clients always ask me where should they should shop. Now, since I rely on my clients for a living I have to be careful of how much I divulge but generally I’m a pretty open book to anyone and everyone who needs advice. I’m a girl’s girl and I like to share! Whether you are a department store or specialty store shopper or just prefer to be sitting down and let your fingers do the work, I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite stores and why you should shop there.
Nordstrom is great both in stores and online. They are my go to store here in Miami for shoes, cosmetics, Top Shop, and lingerie. If I’m in need of fantastic customer service, Nordstrom is always my go-to. You can’t beat it! Their customer service and store policies are fantastic.
Neiman Marcus is my other go-to. For high fashion they are my favorite local store. They have the broadest selection of women’s wear, fabulous shoes, handbags, great jewelry, sunglasses, and cosmetics. Also, if you’re looking for menswear, they are the best department store in Miami!
Saks is another favorite both in store and online. I love the edited selection for women’s contemporary clothing. They have everything you need if you’re looking to add some flare to your style. They also have a fabulous handbag department with trendy as well as classic styles.
While I love many department stores, Barney’s is always my top choice when it comes to shopping. Love everything about this store. I’ve had a love affair with Barneys for almost 30 years now. You can find everything you’re looking for and they always have new looks that a lot of other places do not carry. They aren’t as easy to find as a Nordstrom or Saks but their online website is equally as awesome to find everything you need.
Bloomingdale’s. After living in NY for 18 years, Bloomingdale’s was one of my favorites. I have a soft spot for Bloomies, and even used to work there at one point in my career. They really do have everything. The Aventura store is incredible for women’s and men’s contemporary designer collections.
Shop bop is another great online website. It’s one of my favorites for everything because they have something for everyone and at every price point. Whether you’re looking for bathing suits, shoes, or a gala ball gown, they’ve got you covered from head-to-toe.
Forward by Elyse Walker is another good find. They have well edited designer and contemporary designer collections. It’s great for hard to find designers and they have their full collections.
Netaporter is a must because they have everything!
H&M can be good for some specifics. I don’t shop the whole store just new arrivals and their “runway” or collaboration area. They just paired up with Balmain for an amazing collaboration that came out today. The rest is too much of a headache. You can get great things at great prices if you are patient. You have to remember to try things on in different sizes though, it’s all over the place.
Zara is my favorite place for quick fashion. Great pricing and great style. Again, be patient and try things on and you will find great pieces here.
Asos on line has great fashion and prices.
COS has beautiful, simple, basics and special designed pieces in beautiful earthy tones to incorporate into your wardrobe.
J.Crew is good for shoes, belts and sweaters.
Madewell is the best for cute casual tops, jeans, tees and sweaters.
And of course, if all of this advice is all too overwhelming you can always call me and I will show you how and where to find exactly what you are looking for!
