7 Workout Leggings That Go Beyond the Black

I’ve been writing quite a bit about the athleisure trend lately, where gym style meets street style for some casual looks that can take you from yoga through the rest of your day. My latest love is the amazing patterns in which we are finding workout leggings. We’re no longer forced to wear the basic black capri or running tights, especially in these summer months. Eye-catching patterns ranging from geometric to tropical are now crossing over into specialty and department stores as part of their sportswear collections. Because selection of some of these prints is personal, make sure you try them on before you buy to find your most flattering patterns.

Pair these fashion forward leggings with a more neutral solid top, or wear a tank underlay for a pop of color. They’re terrific for a more glamorous street look so you don’t always look as though you just walked out of a boot camp class!

Here are seven of my favorite workout leggings at a variety of price points. And if you’re like me, some new gear is always a great motivation to hit the gym if I’m in a rut.
