It seems that every Spring, floral prints are reinvented in a way that are fresh and feminine. This year, I am seeing the flower power everywhere I go with big and bold blooms. On the runways this season many designers were using floral from head-to-toe and even with matching bags. This bold floral trend is not for wallflowers, as it definitely makes a statement. However, pairing a skirt with a solid color top, mixing a boxy white shirt with some floral shorts or incorporating a floral bag into a neutral outfit are all great ways to flourish with this variation on a classic trend.
Here are some of my picks for bold florals this spring. From pink peonies to tulips on dainty stems and the more abstract and pixelated prints, there are so many options. I have been helping several of my clients find the perfect solid color tops to go with bold floral shirts. And don’t forget the shoes. I recently found a pair of floral slip-on sneakers at Nordstrom and nearly bought them without even trying on. Maybe you’ll spot me in them after carpool or shopping with clients. These florals are definitely a reminder that Spring has sprung!
