2016 Trends Part II

If you have been following any of my instagram posts or know me personally then you will know how much I love pants. As much as I adore a great dress because it’s easy to throw on, I feel more in my comfort zone with a great pair of pants that allow for some creativity depending on my mood. I am thrilled to see all the designers and fast fashion retailers continuing this trend from fall into spring and summer. There are wide legs, crops, skinnies, and a new trend with ruffles which may not be for everyone, but I will certainly be wearing them.

Shoulder baring tops are still extremely in this Spring. Fall showed off a lot of skin by baring  shoulders. If you missed out on the trend in the Fall this is definitely one you want to try this Spring. This top is offered in all silhouettes and fabrics and is a great way to freshen up the wardrobe. Make sure the top fits well and that you have the right undergarments on. If you want to show some skin but would prefer a more comfortable style, try the halter or a top with a strategic cutout showing off what you like most.

There have been so many styles throughout the season that I love but the one consistent trend through the past two season have been wraps and ties. They add so much to any dress and still work wonders under your pants, especially if you wear cropped pants to really show the shoe off. Look for embellishments this Spring to add just the right amount of color and flare to your outfit.

Embellishment is also in style this season on bags. When shoes and bags look a bit more like art, the simplest of outfits come to life. You don’t need to stress about your all black wardrobe or countless jeans anymore. Add the embellished bag or shoe of the season and you are good to go!
